# Connect OpenMausBot

## OAuth browser sign-in

1. Open **Plugins → MCP servers → Add server**.
2. Choose **Connect to a URL**, name it `reconstruct`, and enter `https://reconstruct.dev/mcp` with **Streamable HTTP** transport. Leave headers empty.
3. Save and select **Test**, then **Sign in** when the server shows **Needs sign-in**.
4. Complete Reconstruct sign-in and consent. With automatic client registration, leave the sign-in app's client ID and secret empty. If scopes need an override, use `openid aud-mcp`.
5. Run **Test** again, then enable the server. In the bot's **Tools → Access → MCP servers**, allow `reconstruct`. Start a new task.

## Personal access token

Create an [MCP token](../connect-ai-agents.md#personal-access-token) and set this header in the URL server:

```text
Authorization: Bearer <your MCP token>
```

Keep the token out of the URL. Test, enable and select the server as above.

## Check the connection

Ask the bot to call `list_products` through Reconstruct MCP. For large servers, OpenMausBot may present tool search and execution helpers instead of every tool directly.

See [OpenMausBot's custom MCP server guide](https://github.com/milind-soni/OpenMausBot/blob/main/docs/custom-mcp-servers.md). Its separate [MCP server guide](https://github.com/milind-soni/OpenMausBot/blob/main/docs/mcp-server.md) explains how external clients control OpenMausBot itself.

Next, try the [prompt examples](../prompt-examples.md) or read [Reconstruct skills](../skills.md).
